GenerosiTea has two complimentary goals:
We have a number of ways in which we serve the community in which we live.
We offer a range of of high quality merchandise for sale. We preparing to open a cafe in Maylands which will also provide sustainable and free trade produce.
We also support local not-for-profit community groups by providing fund-raising services. A current project is the raising of funds and awareness for YouthCARE by the sale of cling wrap in schools.
The information provided alongside the merchandise helps educate people regarding the plight of the world's poor—raising awareness. We also aim to provide merchandise which returns benefits more directly to the world's poor through purchasing of Fair Trade and similar products.
GenerosiTea also makes direct donations to projects in third-world nations. Since we are a not-for-profit entity, we are able to return a significant proportion of our funds to the poor. Even on projects where we guarantee a specific return to the poor for each item sold, we also look at our overall income to determine if even more may be given.
